100 and done "DTA"

Well its has been real, this marks the 100th posting for Realm of Connections and will be the final.

Why? Some might ask.

All things come to an end.

My final message is simple really....DTA = "Don't trust anyone"

I could elaborate on this but I'd just be wasting my time and yours. If you KNOW, then you KNOW what I mean.

Peace out, Joshua

World in Flames

While watching the plethora of pre-season NFL games on the NFL Network over the weekend, I was subjected to some very distasteful commercials (well to me at least).
From the "I played" crap, to the "Drive drunk and you will be arrested", which was usually followed by a beer ad. There was one commercial that caught my ire, The video game commercial ad for Mercenaries 2 World in Flames here take a look, in case you haven't seen it already.

With a back drop of American Dollars, pardon me Federal Reserve Notes in every shot; the pentagon must have spent a bit of time, and money, making sure the youth continue to travel further along the downward spiral. Personally there is not much worse than a Merc.

Mercenary
A mercenary is a person who takes part in an armed conflict, who is not a national or a party to the conflict, and is "motivated to take part in the hostilities essentially by the desire for private gain and, in fact, is promised, by or on behalf of a party to the conflict, material compensation substantially in excess of that promised or paid to combatants of similar ranks and functions in the armed forces of that Party" (Additional Protocol I to the Geneva Convention of August 1949).

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames
Plot Synopsis:Mercenaries 2: World in Flames is set in August 2010. The story follows the player's hunt for Ramon Solano, a druglord who contracted the player's mercenary for a job then subsequently refused to pay and tried to kill him/her. Following a militaristic coup, Solano becomes the dictator of Venezuela. He uses his position to seize control of the country's oil supply, resulting in an international incident and distress among OPEC(in the game the oil company excavating in the region is called Universal Petroleum). Alongside Solano's Rebel Forces, a large portion of the Venezuelan army fiercely support the dictator's cause. The other rebel forces, in opposition to Solano, have risen under the name of the PLAV--the People's Liberation Army of Venezuela. Soon, numerous other factions join the fight for control of Venezuela's oil. Among them: The massive Universal Petroleum Corporation and its private military; the Rastafarian Pirates (the equivalent of the Russian Mafia from the original Mercenaries game); China's PLA; and the AN (Allied Nations--a less controversial pun on the UN). These six forces will inevitably form the backbone of a war to determine the fate of the country's oil supply.

Betrayed, the player's mercenary will ally him/herself with any of the other factions to get even with Solano, and make some money along the way.

Controversy

The game has been criticized by the Venezuelan government, accusing the U.S. government of trying to drum up support from the American public for a real-life invasion with the purpose of overthrowing Hugo Chávez.[7] Pandemic Studios had previously developed training aids for the US Army. In response to the criticism, the official Mercenaries 2 website includes the following disclaimer, "Pandemic Studios is in the business of entertainment. It has never been contacted by any U.S. government agency concerning the development of Mercenaries 2. All persons, storylines and events are purely fictional and bear no relation to real events. As with any number of games, movies and books, the decision to choose interesting events and locations is purely designed to tell a compelling story, as well as provide a fun and rich experience for the gamer."

yeah sure, I believe you... the powers that be would never do something like that. This shit is just getting so blatant and is coming at us from every angle. With the title alone people should see the problem, but rest assured parents will buy this game for their children, teenager or younger.

The Truth about Georgia gets censored again on TV

The Truth about Georgia gets censored again on TV. A reporter makes a comparison to the US reaction to 911 to Russia's reaction to Georgian attacks and the satellite feed drops off in the middle of his question. TV is censored every day and every hour but sometimes the censorship is plain to see.

While reading different reports on how the west is viewing Russia's disproportionate levels of attacks versus a DEMOCRATICALLY selected government, I just had a good old gut busting laugh. For example:

Georgie Bush said "Russia has invaded a sovereign neighboring state and threatens a democratic government elected by its people. Such an action is unacceptable in the 21st century," Yeah and invading Afghanistan and Iraq was acceptable?

He said Russia's escalation of the conflict had "raised serious questions about its intentions in Georgia and the region" and had "substantially damaged Russia's standing in the world." "These actions jeopardize Russia's relations with the United States and Europe," Bush said Oh and the standing of the U.S. is just peachy huh?, and just what are YOU gonna do to stop them Georgie?, send in the twins?

Look I realize that Georgie is just the puppet and his masters have been orchestrating all the events for the past few centuries, but when the veil is lifted so dramatically, I wonder just how much more do people need to stop buying into the scam?

Little o' Georgia, Declares War, on Big O' Russia

Georgia declares war Published: Saturday 09 August 2008 10:08 UTC
Last updated: Saturday 09 August 2008 10:08 UTC
Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili has made a formal declaration of war against Russia. He has also asked the Georgian parliament for permission to proclaim a state of siege. This would increase both his authority and that of the army leaders.

Russian fighter planes have bombed targets around the Georgian city of Gori. Although the attacks were directed at a military base in the area, at least one bomb landed in the city itself. Georgian sources say two people have been killed.

Russia has confirmed that two of its fighters have been shot down. Georgia says it has destroyed six Russian planes.

The two countries are fighting over the breakaway region of South Ossetia, which Russia has always supported in its bid for independence from Georgia. The Russian government is claiming that more than 1,500 people have died and that more than 30,000 South Ossetians have fled the fighting. Both sides say they have control of the South Ossetian capital of Tskhinvali.

The population of Georgia: 4,646,003 (2007 est)

Russia - Population: 141,377,752 (2007 est.)

Good luck to yah Georgia!! out numbered, out gunned, out of your minds.

unless someone happens to have your back like say...

USA behind Georgia - Russian War

The Russian Conflict In Georgia Could Make War With Iran More Probable
Even though the Mainstream News Media has remained quiet on the issue, the United States sending two more aircraft carrier groups to the Middle-East is alarming at this stage of the failed negotiations between the Europeans, the United States, and Israel. Cheney has been outed for plotting to fabricate a reason for starting a war with Iran - par for the course for a Vice-President that openly shows his disgust for the American people; now, with two more carrier groups, another nuclear submarine, two (2) more U.S. destroyers, a supply ship, and who knows what else has entered the Persian Gulf unannounced

War between Russia and Georgia orchestrated from USA

The US administration urged for an immediate cease-fire in the conflict between Russia and Georgia over the unrecognized republic of South Ossetia.

“The things that were happening in Kosovo, the things that were happening in Iraq – we are now following the same path. The further the situation unfolds, the more the world will understand that Georgia would never be able to do all this without America. South Ossetian defense officials used to make statements about imminent aggression from Georgia, but the latter denied everything, whereas the US Department of State released no comments on the matter. In essence, they have prepared the force, which destroys everything in South Ossetia, attacks civilians and hospitals. They are responsible for this. The world community will learn about it,” the official said.

Just as a side note while I present this article there is an air show going on in the skies above me
an F-18 (pictured below)
just went over my apartment low enough that I could see the pilot and loud enough to scare the shit out of my cat. The thing is while here in the states a jet flying by elicits a roar from the crowd, over in Georgia(Iraq/Afghanistan/etc) that same noise elicits fear and knowledge that death soon will follow.

My Journey to the "Emerald City"

Last Weekend 8/01-04/08 My fiancee Alexis and I journey upon the "yellow brick" I-5, North from Portland to Seattle; a 3 hour drive through the beautiful state of Washington. There we met up with our great friends Anna & Jeff whom we befriended(and worked with) years ago while living in Long Beach,CA. Last August they departed Long Beach for the "Emerald City", a year later we were reunited as Alexis and I moved up to Portland.

Seattle is a fantastic city, kinda like Portland, but on 4 more espresso shots. Magnificent architecture beautiful views, lots and lots of bridges, but horrible traffic. The following are some of the photos I took.

8/8/08... Oh yeah!!!

Many out there view specific dates with a sense of anticipation, awe and wonder. I too have waited for this date of 8/8/08. Though not for the Olympic spectacle, nor some mystical or illuminate planned ordeal/ritual. No I have waited to watch American football, the first preseason game of the 08 season. As stated before I am a fanatic, yes I admit it a fanatic of the Minnesota Vikings. Today the Vikings host the Seahawks in a meaningless game admittedly; however seeing as football is one of my passions, I have waited for this date with baited breath since the schedule came out in April. SKOL Vikings!!!

As far as the Olympics.. I could give a F***!!! I haven't watched them since 1984, simply because they were in L.A. and I lived there at the time.

For those out there that view football as boorish, well...It sucks to be you!

Man beheaded on bus to Winnipeg

Man beheaded on bus to Winnipeg
BRANDON, MAN. - A young man traveling on a Greyhound bus was stabbed to death and beheaded by a stranger in a horrifying act of apparently random violence.

The incident occurred on a bus traveling from Edmonton to Winnipeg just before 10 p.m. Wednesday 7/30.

A man of about 18 who was sleeping with headphones on was attacked by his seat mate, according to the man who sat in front of them.
He was stabbed repeatedly with a large hunting knife, sending blood spraying across the interior of the bus. The driver quickly pulled over and passengers fled out the front door.

The attacker then sawed off the victim's head and carried it to the front of the bus.

The two did not apparently know one another. The victim boarded the bus in Edmonton, one witness said, and the attacker boarded in Manitoba.
A standoff with police ensued until about 1 a.m. local time.

A 40-year-old man was taken into custody.

Garnet Caton, 26, was sitting in the seat in front of the attacker.

"I was just reading a book and all of a sudden I heard a guy screaming. I turned around and the guy sitting right beside me was standing up and stabbing another guy with a big Rambo knife," he said.

"Right in the throat. Repeatedly."

The man wielding the knife had a shaved head and was wearing sunglasses, he said.

"He looked totally calm. He didn't say a word I don't think to anybody on the bus ... nothing. Just totally calm."

More of the article at the site, interestingly comments have been disallowed. The world is filled with CRAZY people folks; and it's getting CRAZIER by the day. However decapitation is nothing new, the story of John the baptist comes to mind. The Guillotine was effective and so was the Axe, generally speaking decapitation is for execution. It also is a great means of creating fear amongst the populace.(now it's not safe to fly, drive your car and you kill the planet, take the bus and get your head chopped off) But that's just my opinion. Acts like this are part of our collective conscious unfortunately due inpart to horror films and the like, see Quentin Tarantino You Suck! over at the celtic rebel for more on this topic.

Greece: Beheading suspect in critical condition
ATHENS, Greece (AP) -- A 31-year-old Greek man accused of beheading his girlfriend with a cleaver is being treated for gunshot wounds at a state hospital in Athens after being shot by police and remains in a critical condition, Health Ministry officials said Monday.

Police said restaurant cook Thanassis Arvanitis severed the head of his 25-year-old girlfriend on the holiday island of Santorini and tried to escape in a police car.

A police officer and three female bystanders were also injured in the incident that occurred Sunday in the village of Bourboulos, near the island's main town of Fira.

Following an argument, "the [suspect] slaughtered their dog and threw it out of their home and on to the street and proceeded to kill the woman ... totally severing her head," a statement from the South Aegean Police Department said.

"The attacker walked around the village carrying the head of the victim in one hand and the cleaver in the other."

Now why is this an image I recall... ohh yeah

The cleaver had a 30-centimeter (12-inch) blade.

The police statement said Arvanitis agreed to surrender to police officers, before attacking one officer with the cleaver and escaping in a patrol car. He was shot three times in the chest and lower torso by police while trying to flee.

A 21-year-old Greek female tourist was injured by a ricocheting police bullet, while the suspect crashed into an oncoming motorbike, injuring two female doctors, both aged 26.

Arvanitis was eventually stopped when his vehicle was rammed by a police car, the statement said. iReport.com: Watch video taken from the scene

"It's hard to believe that people like this circulate among us," Santorini Mayor Angelos Roussos. "The attacker must have had some presence of mind because he pretended to surrender and then attacked the police."

Hard to believe?! Open your eyes son. It's 2008, people been like this for thousands if not millions of years.

The alleged attacker and three injured woman were flown to Athens and hospitalized in the Greek capital.

"My thoughts are with the two doctors who ... were caught up in the middle of this terrible situation," Health Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos said.

Oh yes the poor, poor doctors; who gives a shit about the chick that was beheaded or her family. Or the tourist, heck how about the police officer or any other victims. Prick!

"They are both making a good recovery after suffering leg injuries."

The 21-year-old tourist was in a stable condition and being treated at a state hospital in Athens for a gunshot wound to the leg, hospital officials said. The injured policeman remained on Santorini and received treatment for facial wounds.

Island of Santorini, eh???
The isle that erupted to helped destroy the Minoan civilization; noted in history for it's city with a labyrinth below: Knossos, wherein dwelt the flesh eating "mythical" Minotaur.

Do you feel it calling?

Can't you feel it coming? EMPIRE!

While rocking out to Queensryche today, I thought to make another video. These guys have been ahead of the curve for years; guess they influenced me signifigantly now that I think about it, enjoy.

"Empire" lyrics:

Last night the word came down, ten dead in Chinatown.
Innocent, their only crime was being in the wrong place, at the wrong time
Too bad, people say what's wrong with the kids today
Tell you right now they've got nothing to lose

They're building EMPIRE!

Johnny used to work after school
at the cinema show.
Gotta hustle if he wants an education
he's got a long way to go.
Now he's out on the street all day
selling Crack to the people who pay.
Got an AK-47 for his best friend
business the American way.

Eastside meets Westside downtown.
No time, the walls fall down

Can't you feel it coming? EMPIRE! Can't you hear it calling?
Black man, trapped again. hold his chain in his hand.
Brother killing brother for the profit of another,
Game point, nobody wins. Decline, right on time.
What happened to the dream sublime?
Tear it all down, we'll put it up again. Another EMPIRE?

Eastside meets Westside downtown.
No time, no line, the walls fall down.

Can't you feel it coming? EMPIRE!
Can't you hear it coming EMPIRE!
Can't someone here stop it...??!!

Goin back to Kali...nah I don't think so.

Back in May of this year I left my home state of California (Southern Kali to be more specific) for the more seasonal climate of Portand, Oregon. I had many a reason for departing; one major reason the constant HEAT, and subsequent lack of any rain. Add to it the daily chemtrails and whatever fallout is deposited.

-I have seen chemtrails over the Portland area mind you, but not in the extremes I had noticed in Southern Kali. The single largest amount that I noticed were the days leading up to the weekend that Barack Obama came to town back on May 18th, 2008. 75,000 worshippers showed up to scream for their new messiah.-

My family still resides in California and the fires down there are simply getting worse, year after year. View my articles Unholy Smoke and Feeling Blue in a see of Red for the fires of 07. Add to it the drive to and from work (55 miles a day) and the unknown population, my decision was easy. People said "Rain, too much rain, you'll be back". I said "Rain is my favorite weather".
While surfing the web I came across this article last month and had a good laugh to myself.

L.A. County hopes to fend off drought with cloud-seeding program
The plan is to begin this winter over the San Gabriel Mountains. Critics say the process is dubious and could trigger mudslides.

By Deborah Schoch, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer
June 16, 2008

Hoping to wring water from the skies, a parched Los Angeles County plans to launch an $800,000 cloud-seeding project in the San Gabriel Mountains that officials believe will boost rainfall and raise the levels of local reservoirs.

The project, which will rely on injecting clouds with silver iodide particles, has won county supervisors' backing and is slated to begin this winter.
"We're basically coaxing Mother Nature to give us 15% more rain than there would be otherwise," said county civil engineer William Saunders. He said the county did seeding for several decades, beginning in the 1950s.

This time, officials decided to resume the program after a seven-year lapse caused by concerns over mudslides in some mountain areas ravaged by brush fires.
With California gripped by dry weather and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger declaring a statewide drought, cloud-seeding is attracting both fresh attention and skeptics.

Critics throughout the West have long dismissed seeding as a dubious technological rain dance. They worry it can trigger landslides, such as the deadly one in the San Gabriel foothills 30 years ago.

Some water experts, including Peter Gleick at the nonprofit Pacific Institute, a nonpartisan think tank in Oakland, believe public funds would be better spent promoting proven water-conservation measures, such as low-flow toilets.

"It's a bit of a sign of desperation," Gleick said. "They've been doing cloud seeding for decades, but we've never clearly been able to show if it's what we've done or what nature has provided."

That's because researchers who try to prove seeding's efficacy face unique roadblocks. Rain forms in nature, not in a laboratory, and scientists can't very well seed one cloud and leave another one unseeded as a "control cloud."

Also, cloud behavior varies widely.

The following video is from NBC 4 Los Angeles about chemtails.

"To have them be in the right place at the right time, that's where it gets really complicated," said scientist Daniel W. Breed, who studies cloud physics and precipitation at the National Center for Atmospheric Research, a federally funded center in Boulder, Colo.

When county public works officials estimate that seeding will increase rain 15%, for instance, they're depending on a 36-year-old county analysis that compares rainfall from a decade of seeding with rainfall during the previous 20 years.

The National Academy of Sciences released a report in 2003 calling cloud seeding unproven and urged more thorough study.

But federal money is scarce, and the most significant studies today are happening in the Mideast and elsewhere overseas, often conducted by U.S. scientists.

"It's something that I wish there were more good hard research on," said Maury Roos, the state's chief hydrologist. "I think there's something to it. The question is, how much, versus how much is it going to cost?"

Yet the phones are ringing at the offices of so-called weather modification firms that use airplanes or ground-based generators to spray silver iodide above mountains and watersheds, typically on contract to public agencies.

An Arkansas news stations finding of the fallout of chemtrails

Santa Barbara County water officials swear by the practice; so does a Monterey County water agency. Electric utilities have used it regularly in the Sierra Nevada. Even some cities in the bone-dry Southeast United States are investigating the approach.

"In a drought, that's when we get the majority of calls," said Don Griffin, president of North American Weather Consultants Inc., the firm the county is hiring, based in Sandy, Utah. "When there's above-average precipitation, people don't think about it."

Ironically, a drought can be the worst time to try cloud seeding because clouds are scarce, and the technique works best in a normal year, when it is believed to entice more raindrops from rain clouds, Breed said.

For years, companies such as Southern California Edison and Pacific Gas & Electric seeded clouds in winter over the Sierra Nevada to boost snow runoff that feeds hydroelectric plants. Until recently, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power seeded in the Eastern Sierra, a major source of city water.

Who'd of guessed?

Flash Flood Warning Issued For San Bernadino
Jul 13, 2008 1:21 pm US/Pacific

LOS ANGELES (AP) ―
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for southwestern San Bernardino County after heavy rains from a thunderstorm hit the area.

The warning means flooding could be imminent or already happening.

Earlier Sunday, the weather service issued flash flood watches for much of southern and central California, including many wildfire-scarred areas that are ripe for mudslides.

The National Weather Service says a strong monsoonal surge is bringing large amounts of moisture to the mountains and deserts in Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara, Kern and Tulare counties.

Any flooding in recent burn areas could mean significant sliding of mud and debris.

Now it's raining, just when I left?

Flash Flood Watch Still In Effect For Southland
Jul 14, 2008 9:36 am US/Pacific

LOS ANGELES (AP) ― More heavy rain was forecast Monday in Southern California, where crews were still clearing debris from weekend flooding and a mudslide that damaged more than 50 homes and blocked a highway.

The National Weather Service posted flash flood watches for the mountains of Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties, saying scattered showers and thunderstorms capable of producing heavy downpours were likely Monday.

Weekend thunderstorms over the southern Sierra Nevada range set off a mudslide that measured 300 yards wide and up to 3 feet deep, officials said.

Fortress America

On this July 3,2008 one day before America celebrates it's "Independence" my mind looks back to the year 1986, and a time when I was more ignorant of the world and it's twisted machinations.

Fortress America is a strategic board game published in 1986 by Milton Bradley.

Set in the 21st century, the board game begins with the premise that during the Cold War, nuclear terrorists destroyed much of the Middle East's supply of oil. In response, the United States launched into orbit a satellite based solar-power system to solve the energy crisis. At the same time, they had perfected the so-called "Star Wars" technology and incorporated a satellite-based laser system into the solar satellites. This system was capable of destroying intercontinental ballistic missiles (nuclear ICBM's) before impact. Thus, the USA was completely safe from nuclear threat, ending the era of Mutual Assured Destruction.

This creates a great deal of political turmoil - the USSR is especially upset at the nuclear balance of power being shifted - and while the rest of the world realigns in various ways (through alliances and treaties as well as conventional military conflict) the USA, complacent in its technical superiority, becomes isolationist in nature.

The game opens with the world divided into three major world powers outside of the US:

1) The Asian Peoples Alliance (yellow player) being 1/4 Asian myself, I just got to chuckle at the blatant racism.

2) The Central American Federation (blue player) makes me remember those blue clad "Cobra Soldiers" from G.I. Joe.

3) The Euro-Socialist Pact (red player) red commies/ redcoats nuff said

The American player being green. (They sure love pushing that green around here.)

These three powers have launched a surprise assault on the now-conventionally-weak United States: Asian invaders on the Pacific coast, Central American invaders along the Southwestern border with Mexico, and the Euro-Soviet invaders along the eastern seaboard. The United States Navy is brushed aside. The land and air forces, still capable of resistance, are nevertheless insufficient to halt the invasions.

I was 11 when this game came out and played it with the same enthusiasm that I played Axis & Allies. Having just watched
Red Dawn two years prior the game seemed a wondrous "coincidence" at the time. Now years later I realize the connections more clearly. How powerful propaganda is and the influence/control Hollywood is under from the Military-industrial complex. The wealth of research on this matter is out there for those that seek it. During the course of my entire life there has been massive amounts of films, t v programs, comics , toys, video games etc. Influencing and dare I say "brain washing" an entire generation for war and violence. Preparing us for what is to come.

Red Dawn:In our time, no foreign army has ever occupied American soil. Until now. War of 1812???

I'm not saying that I believe that Red Dawn will come true mind you, just that we are a generation raised on violence and death. Which is utterly against what I feel we are intended to do or be.

R. I. P. George Carlin

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Comedian George Carlin, a counter-culture hero famed for his routines about drugs and dirty words, died of heart failure at a Los Angeles-area hospital on Sunday, a spokesman said. He was 71.

Carlin, who had a history of heart and drug-dependency problems, died at Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica about 6 p.m. PDT (9 p.m. EDT) after being admitted earlier in the afternoon for chest pains, spokesman Jeff Abraham told Reuters.

Known for his edgy, provocative material, Carlin achieved status as an anti-Establishment icon in the 1970s with stand-up bits full of drug references and a routine called "Seven Words You Can Never Say On Television." A regulatory battle over a radio broadcast of the routine ultimately reached the U.S. Supreme Court.

In the 1978 case, Federal Communications Commission vs. Pacifica Foundation, the top U.S. court ruled that the words cited in Carlin's routine were indecent, and that the government's broadcast regulator could ban them from being aired at times when children might be listening.

Carlin's comedic sensibility often came back to a central theme: humanity is doomed.

"I don't have any beliefs or allegiances. I don't believe in this country, I don't believe in religion, or a god, and I don't believe in all these man-made institutional ideas," he told Reuters in a 2001 interview.

Carlin, who wrote several books and performed in many television comedy specials, is survived by his wife Sally Wade, and daughter Kelly Carlin McCall.
